Letter to the Editor: Comments on “Ultrasound Imaging of the Posterior Cruciate Ligament and its Mimic, the Posterior Meniscofemoral Ligament”

ABSTRACT

We read with interest the recently published article titled, “Ultrasound Imaging of the Posterior Cruciate Ligament and its Mimic, the Posterior Meniscofemoral Ligament” by Ke-Vin Chang et al.1 We appreciate the authors for raising the attention on the posterior meniscofemoral ligament (PMFL) which is an important but frequently neglected structure for the stability of the posterior knee and the lateral meniscus. Herein, we would like to share our opinions regarding the sonoanatomy of this ligament, which would replenish this clinically important article.
